Here's a list...Basically, so that I never have to answer these questions again.
Favorites:
*Composer: Akira Yamaoka - The Silent Hill series is what got me interested in game music. Akira Yamaoka did an incredible job in setting the mood in every game, and he is the only reason I've stayed faithful to the series since Team Silent apparently jumped ship.
*Song: "Memories of You" (Persona 3) - The ending credits song perfectly sums up this game.
*Mascot: Prinny - They're scattered all over my room!
*Gameboy Advance game: Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 - See "NES game."
*Nintendo DS game: Disgaea DS - Everything I loved about Disgaea, but with prinny commentary.
*PSP game: Prinny Can I Really Be the Hero? - The return of the hardcore platformer! Starring an adorable penguin with peg legs and bat wings.
*PS1 game: Twisted Metal 2 - The first Playstation game I ever played, and one I still love to play now. What's not to love about blowing up an evil ice cream truck?
*PS2 game: Disgaea: Hour of Darkness - An amazing SRPG with a very deep story (despite what you may think at first). Loveable characters, fun maps and the place where prinnies got their start!
*PS3 game: Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice - My favorite game in the Disgaea series. I've spent over 220 hours playing it. If you invest in the DLC (and it's totally worth it), there's even more to do. As if you don't have enough already. :)
*NES game: Super Mario Bros. 3 - One of the main reasons I invested in a Wii. Without a doubt, the best game in the original Super Mario Bros. series.
*SNES game: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars - The first RPG I ever played, and the beginning of my obsession. I had no idea what I was doing the first time I played it, but I still enjoyed it immensely.
*N64 game: Mario Kart 64 - Battle Mode. Enough said.
*Gamecube game: Resident Evil (REmake) - This game had everything that was wonderful about the Resident Evil series: Chris, Wesker, zombies, hunters, Tyrant and a countdown until the mansion exploded.
*Wii game: Dr. Mario Online RX - They took Dr. Mario and made it online. Best. Idea. Ever.
*PC game: Shivers - The best point and click game ever. I couldn't even play it alone when I was younger, the soundtrack was so creepy. The game takes place in an old museum dedicated to strange and mysterious things. You must solve puzzles and find your way out before the Ixupi drain you of your life essence.
*RPG: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars - See above.
*Survival Horror: Fatal Frame - A unique game, with an incredible story to back it up. It is, by far, the scariest survival horror game I've ever played, and I would recommend it to anyone that takes an interest in the genre.
*Platformer: Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? - See above.
*Online game: Resident Evil 5 - The game itself is just decent, but it's very entertaining to play online co-op. And as much as people say they hate Versus, I think it's incredibly fun.
*Downloadable game: Mega Man 9 - Even though I'm terrible at it, I can't say I didn't enjoy playing it.
*Series: Disgaea - It's such a charming series, and it got me hooked on JRPGs. Without it, I never would have played Persona 3, Mana Khemia, Nocturne, Devil Summoner 2, Persona 4, Makai Kingdom, etc.
*Overall game: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars - See above.
*Storyline: Silent Hill 2 - There's no way I can elaborate without giving away the plot. Just play it and see for yourself.
*Side Story: Raspberyl Episodes (Disgaea 3) - A way to extend the story of Disgaea 3 and give us more maps to play? Awesome.
*Common enemy: Goombas (Super Mario Bros. series) - They're iconic. Come on.
*Boss: Mid-Boss (Disgaea) - Most people will hate him the first couple times they encounter him in the game, but as the story progresses and you find out more about him, you'll grow to love him.
*Supporting character: It's a tie...Akihiko and Junpei (Persona 3) - The characters are great on their own, but a lot of it has to do with how amazing Liam O'Brien and Vic Mignogna are.
*Character (male): Vincent (Silent Hill 3) - "They look like monsters to you?" For the record, that's also my favorite quote from a video game.
*Character (female): Flonne (Disgaea) - I know a lot of people will disagree, but I find that ditzy angel to be a comedic genius.
*Voice actor/actress: Vic Mignogna and Liam O'Brien - I've started to notice that they voice characters in most of the games I play. Not complaining. :)
Least Favorite:
*Song: "Raining Blood" (Guitar Hero 3) - Don't give me that look. It counts. I couldn't even FC this damn song on Easy.
*Mascot: Yoshi (Mario series) - It's not that I hate Yoshi, because he's very helpful in Super Mario World, and Yoshi's Story is a great game. It's just that he's sort of useless in every other game he's been in.
*Nintendo DS game: Disgaea DS - I know, I know. But it's also my least favorite because the voice acting was taken out, and it pales in comparison to the PSP version. It's really a disappointment.
*PS2 game: Eternal Poison - To be fair, I've only played ten minutes of it, and it probably will get better, but as of right now, it technically is my least favorite.
*PS3 game: Motorstorm - The AI is insane, the only way to clear the maps is to play the game online.
*NES game: Boy and His Blob - Now...Granted, I had a lot of fun playing this game as a child. Although I never GOT anywhere. And even playing a ROM last year, I still couldn't figure out what the hell to do with the game.
*SNES game: I really had a hard time choosing a game here...So I went with Beethoven. Even though it was entertaining enough back in the day, it still wasn't that great.
*N64 game: Super Mario 64 - Damn water levels.
*Gamecube game: The Urbz - Even Sims 2 kept my interest longer than this game. It's like they took the Sims, and decided to go out of their way to make it even more tedious than it was to begin with.
*Wii game: Bubble Bobble Plus - Do NOT get me wrong, I love the original Bubble Bobble. But Bubble Bobble Plus tricked me into thinking it was an online game, when in fact, it is not. And as I own the original on the VC, I wasted money on the new one for no reason.
*PC game: Lights Out - A point and click mystery game that lost my interest before I even made it out of the first room.
*RPG: Eternal Poison - See above.
*Survival Horror: Haunting Ground - Only because I have to pick something, and this game honestly drives me crazy as my only means of defense is a dog, which I have to train in order to make him useful. (Resident Evil 4 would have been listed here, but really, it's notsurvival horror.)
*Platformer: Little Big Planet - Gameplay is dull, and online play is a nightmare. The game lags (it's the only online game I ever have a lag issue with), if other players run ahead of you, the camera will end up causing you to die because you cannot see what you're doing.
*Online game: Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Even if I could play this game without killing myself, I still get the feeling I'd be bored by the repetitiveness of it.
*Downloadable game: Bubble Bobble Plus - See above.
*Series: The Sims. Tedious. So incredibly tedious. It's fun to create houses, but Sims are just way too needy, and I don't even have that kind of time for REAL people, let alone virtual ones.
*Overall game: The Urbz - See above.
*Storyline: Resident Evil 4 - You cannot honestly tell me, even if you love the gameplay and the Resident Evil series, that the storyline in this game isn't awful. If you were able to sit there with a straight face and not laugh every time Leon opened his mouth, I will be amazed.
*Side Story: The Answer (Persona 3 FES) - It's actually not a bad side story at all. The only reason it's on here is because if you have to restart the main story of Persona 3 FES as many times as I did, you won't even want to play The Answer by the time you finally get around to it.
*Common enemy: Ganados (Resident Evil 4) - Where are the zombies??
*Boss: Saddler (Resident Evil 4) - It was so difficult to choose just one boss from Resident Evil 4, but I thought if I could only go with one, it should be the main boss.
*Supporting character: Ashley (Resident Evil 4) - It's bad enough that you have to babysit her, it's even worse that if she accidentally gets in your way when you're firing at an enemy, it's Game Over.
*Character (male): Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil 4) - I don't hate Resident Evil 2 Leon. But RE4 Leon is terrible. I know Resident Evil isn't a series known for amazing scriptwriting, but I really have to wonder if the people that worked on this game were trying to kill the series.
*Character (female): Rozalin (Disgaea 2) - She was a spoiled brat at the start of the game, and at the end of the game, she was...Still a spoiled brat. There's nothing likable about her personality, and the fact that she even appeared in Disgaea 2 took half the enjoyment out of the game for me. (Adell, of course, took out the other half.)
*Voice actor/actress: Paul Mercier - He voiced Leon in Resident Evil 4, and I don't think you need me to repeat my dislike for that character, right?
Other:
* Most replay value: Disgaea 3 - Multiple endings, leveling up to 9,999, making perfect items, running through the Item World and Class World, Dark World stages, Land of Carnage...There's so much to do in this game that it's well worth the money you'll pay for it.
*Best reason to import: Siren: New Translation - If you don't think a video game is capable of scaring you, try surviving in Japan, where the Shibito refuse to die no matter how many times you shoot them or hit them over the head. To get through it, you'll have to rely on stealth.
*Most anticipated game: Demon's Souls (PS3) - An online RPG that allows you to revive yourself after dying by helping other players in battle. (Among other things, but you can check out the video a few posts below.)
*Most unique game: Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (Gamecube) - The game comes with a sanity meter, and when it starts to drop, strange things begin to happen to your character...And even you.
*Movie I'd love to be made into a game: Stay Alive - Not so much the movie as the game in the movie.
*Biggest gaming disappointment: I couldn't choose just one. So the first is Fatal Frame 4 not coming to America. Nintendo really ruined that for us. Tecmo never should have sold the rights to the game to them. The second is not being able to play multi-player Virtual Console games online. It would be pretty awesome if Nintendo could somehow implement that in the future.
